You bought your motorhome to enjoy the country, not to spend your weekends scrubbing it. But Kiwi conditions are punishing on bodywork. Strong UV, salt-laden coastal wind, gravel road miles, and stretches of summer heat all chip away at the surfaces that protect the vehicle underneath. Without regular care, what was a showroom-fresh paint job slowly turns dull, streaked, and flat.
The signs creep in gradually. A duller paint finish. Streaking that runs from the roof line. Yellowed headlights. Hardened rubber around the windows. None of it happens overnight, and most owners only notice when the next wash stops bringing it back. By that stage the protective layers have broken down, and the only real fix is professional correction.
At 360 Boat Care, we’ve spent years restoring boats to a showroom finish using the same techniques that work beautifully on motorhome gelcoat and painted surfaces. Now we’re applying that craftsmanship to motorhomes and caravans across Auckland.
Motorhome exteriors are built from the same painted and gelcoat surfaces we work with on yachts every day, which means the techniques that bring a tired boat hull back to life work just as well on a tired motorhome. Our polishing process moves through multiple stages of compound and finishing pads to:
How aggressive the process needs to be depends on your motorhome’s starting condition. A well-kept vehicle that’s only mildly dulled may only need a single light pass. A vehicle that has lost its gloss to severe oxidation may need two or three stages of progressively finer correction to get the finish back.
Once the correction is complete, we apply a high-grade polymer sealant across every polished surface. The sealant guards the finish against UV breakdown, keeps the gloss locked in for months at a time, and gives you a slick surface that releases dirt and bug residue with a basic wash rather than a deep scrub.
Choose the level of care that suits your motorhome’s condition. Final pricing is confirmed once we’ve assessed your vehicle.
For near-new or well-maintained motorhomes that just need a refresh.

Most motorhome water damage starts at the roof, where flexing panels and weathered silicone slowly open up around vents, hatches, and skylights. We apply a heavy-duty elastomeric coating across the full roof surface and into every join, sealing the trouble spots into one continuous, watertight layer that flexes with the structure rather than cracking off it. The result is a roof you can stop worrying about for years.
A full reset of the cabin. We hot-extract clean the carpets and seat fabric, treat leather upholstery, clear out any built-up odours, and wipe down the cabinetry, kitchen surfaces, and bathroom zones. If you’d like longer-term protection, we can finish with a fabric guard treatment that holds back spills and stains until the next visit.
Lifts hard water spots, light surface pitting, and bonded contaminants out of the glass so it stops looking weathered. Add the hydrophobic treatment and water rolls off the windscreen on contact, which is genuinely useful at highway speeds in a downpour and cuts the time you spend wiping the glass between trips.
Yellowed, cloudy headlights cut night-time visibility and age the entire front end of your motorhome. We restore clarity and apply a UV-protective coating.
The same stainless polishing process we use on superyacht fittings, bringing dulled handles, rails, and exterior hardware back to a mirror finish.
Deep clean to remove brake dust and road grime, light polish, and tyre dressing for a finished look.

Most jobs take between half a day and two full days depending on the size of your motorhome and the condition of the surfaces. A maintenance wash and detail on a well-kept 6m van might be done in 3 to 4 hours. A full restoration on a 9m motorhome with heavy oxidation can take a day and a half or longer. We’ll give you a clear time estimate as part of your free quote.
No. As long as we have access to the vehicle and a quick chat about any specific areas of concern, you’re welcome to leave us to it. We send progress photos throughout the job and let you know the moment we’re finished.
We’re a fully mobile service. We come to wherever your motorhome is stored, whether that’s at your home, a storage yard, or a campground. We need a flat area with reasonable access and enough space to walk around the vehicle. If we need to bring our own power or water supply, just let us know when you book.
For motorhomes used regularly, we recommend a full cut and polish every 12 to 18 months, with a maintenance wash and reseal every 3 to 6 months in between. Vehicles kept undercover and used less often can stretch this further. If you store your motorhome outdoors year-round or near the coast, more frequent treatment is worth considering.
Yes. Rubber and EPDM roofs need a different approach to painted or gelcoat surfaces. We use products designed specifically for membrane materials to clean, condition, and waterproof without drying out the rubber. Just tell us what type of roof you have when you book so we bring the right gear.
